Week 7 Day 1

LESSON 13:  EDITING AND FORMATTING DOCUMENTS

OBJECTIVES FOR LESSON 13

  • Delete and insert text using the Backspace and Delete keys and Insert and Overtype mode.
  • Use the Undo and Redo features.
  • Edit text using drag-and-drop editing and the cut, copy, and paste commands.
  • Find and replace text.
  • Format text with fonts, line spacing, alignment, tabs and indents, page breaks, and bulleted and numbered lists.
  • Check and correct spelling and grammar.
  • Display document statistics such as word count.
  • Use Print Preview and format a document for printing.

 

  1. LESSON 13 - Complete the SBS Activities 13.1 to 13.13 if they were not completed during Week 5.
  2. Copy the Terms from the Board into your Notebook. Write a brief description of each term.

    Week 5 Day 1 Terms

  3. Copy the Keyboard Shortcut Commands from the Board into your Notebook. Write the use of each command.

    4. CTRL+C    COPY   
    5. CTRL+X    CUT
    6. CTRL+Z    UNDO
    7. CTRL+F    FIND

As a Reminder from Week 5, All Students Should Have Completed the Following Assignments Prior to Week 7, and they should be available in your File/Folder:

5.     NEW WORK: Login to your ClassMarker account for ICT. You may use your textbook to complete these three assignments.

6.     NEW WORK: Complete Project 13-1 on Page 266-267 of your Textbook. You will need to open Project 13-1 from your data files on the Z:\ drive. Complete all of  the instructions, but do not print the work. Save it as Languages to your Z:\ drive.

7.    NEW WORK:  Complete Project 13-2 on Page 267-268 of your Textbook. You will need to open Project 13-2 from your data files on the Z: drive. Complete all of the instructions, but do not print the work. Save it as Contents to your Z:\ drive.

If you do not finish Project 13-1 or Project 13-2 in class, you need to finish them at home, but do not forget to save them to your Z:\ drive when you return to IAT.

Week 7 Day 2
