MINISTRY OF COMPASSION TO THE NATIONS This page answers some important questions that have been asked by potential sponsors. Is the New Life Christian School actually you and your wife's ministry? The New Life Christian School is not owned or operated by Stewart and Luvi. We are not a part of the denomination known as the Assembly of God. We do have a special relationship with the school because we are responsible for placing many students there and providing for their needs and costs in a manner not previously known to the school, children, or community. The New Life Christian School is a ministry of the Eternal Rock Church (Assembly of God). The Nicaraguan Child Sponsorship program is a part of the Ministry of Compassion for the Nation founded by Stewart and Luvi. The school provides an education that includes the study of God's Word. The sponsorship program created by Stewart and Luvi make this education and opportunity possible for children who were previously at home without an opportunity to study. Additionally, the sponsorship program offers so much more with much potential for growth and transformation in the future. "This is just the beginning!"
If not, how is it organized and run? The New Life Christian School is run by the Eternal Rock Church which is a part of the Assembly of God. The pastors, staff, and administration of the Church and School organize and run the activities of the school. Stewart and Luvi have a special relationship with the director of the school and one of the teachers. Communication takes place via email, MSN Messenger, and phone. In October 2009, Luvi also visited Nicaragua to oversee the ministry. Stewart will likely visit in July 2010. The New Life Child Sponsorship program is organized and run by Stewart and Luvi with the help of our dedicated unpaid volunteers and the cooperation of the administration of the New Life Christian School. We are currently praying about hiring a full-time children's pastor to serve with his wife in Ciudad Sandino. Are you connected officially with any church in the U.S. or anywhere?
Is the school solely funded by gifts of sponsors? The school is funded by the Eternal Rock Church (Assembly of God) in Ciudad Sandino, Nicaragua. This sponsorship program was not set-up by the school. Stewart and Luvi saw a need and decided to step forth and put their faith into action to help meet this need. People need the Lord. The sponsorship program pays all of the school fees and separately provides the children with much more. Our purpose is not to "fund" the school. Our purpose is to evangelize the lost and to provide the children with the opportunity to gain an education, have their physical needs met, and have the opportunity to study God's Word and know Jesus. Who is there in Nicaragua to administer the program and oversee the education?
We are interested in hiring a children's pastor to work full-time, and we have begun to make this search. Does the school have an official statement of faith? The New Life Christian School is on the campus of the Eternal Rock Church (Assembly of God). We do not have their official statement of faith; however, this school is founded and administered by the Eternal Rock Church. They abide by the statement of faith published by the Assembly of God. The children have the opportunity to receive an education where no education was previously possible. The children have the opportunity to study the bible at school and an opportunity to know Jesus as Lord.
