Brookwood High School's Teacher of the Year!

Good afternoon!  I am very happy to share with you some great news about Mrs. Libby Atwell.  She has been selected as Brookwood High School's Teacher of the Year!  I am very happy for her as she receives this much earned and deserved recognition for her dedication and love for educating young men and women in the Snellville, Georgia area of the USA.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Atwell as my own teacher until my graduation from Brookwood School in Thomasville in May 1988.  Since 1988, Mrs. Atwell has continued to be an important person in my life as both an educator and close friend.

Today, I located and visited Mrs. Atwell's home page on the school server.  I want to share with you the quote that she has posted.  It's meaningful and challenging.  It also reveals her teacher's heart.  The quote is as follows:

"I expect to pass through

this world but once; any

good thing therefore that

I can do, or any kindness

that I can show to any

fellow creature, let me do

it now, let me not defer or

neglect it, for I shall not

pass this way again."

- John Wesley

I know you are as happy for Mrs. Atwell as I am.  I've posted her Bio below.  Why?  I don't know.  I think it's nice when someone is recognized, and today is the day for Mrs. Atwell to get full recognition.  Congratulations to Mrs. Atwell for much earned recognition as the Teacher of the Year!

Thinking of you and rejoicing in Mrs. Atwell's achievements!

Regards,

Stewart
